What’s New in Pipeline Pilot Chemistry

In this talk we will present new features and enhancements added to the Pipeline Pilot Chemistry Collection for release 2016. The enhancements include extension of the support for the HELM format (Pistoia Alliance) to parse XHELM, improved 2D layout of macromolecules created from HELM strings, expanded monomer libraries to improve conversion between HELM and SCSR representation, and integration with the HELM Editor. Other topics that will be covered include new methods added to the PPChem client SDK for reaction enumeration, updated OpenEye libraries for chemical naming, redesigned chemistry sketcher component to avoid applets, and miscellaneous enhancements.

What’s New in Imaging and Sequencing

This webinar will cover enhancements in the 9.2 release of BIOVIA Foundation (formerly Accelrys Enterprise Platform) and Pipeline Pilot for Imaging and Sequencing Collections.

In Imaging, development has been focused in two broad areas. First, machine learning. We added several advanced feature detectors. Those features can be made available in the Image annotator, another mini application we have continued to improve. The image annotator enables supervised learning (think of it like tagging in Facebook). There has also been quite a bit of development in supporting assay analysis and management. We developed a prototype High Content Screening Workbench and integrated with the leading tools in preclinical imaging to support both on-premises and cloud based deployments.

Numerous improvements have also been made on the Next Generation and Sequence Analysis Collections for the Pipeline Pilot 9.2 release. We continue to enhance performance for jobs run locally as well as in HPC environments. We will also introduce the NGS workbench prototype. The workbench guides users in a friendly web interface and is easily customizable as it runs in WebPort.

eLearning Courses for Accelrys Pipeline Pilot: Learn More to Do More!

Programming with Accelrys Pipeline Pilot

In my view, the visual programming environment provided by Pipeline Pilot deserves strong consideration as a primary choice to develop scientific applications. Personally, although I also program in C++ and R scripting, I find when I need something done quickly, I can get up and running the fastest in Pipeline Pilot. More importantly, Pipeline Pilot allows me to iteratively refine an initial design into a production quality application with impressive speed. Finally, tools such as the Shortcut Component and Component Reader/Writer make Pipeline Pilot a truly self-referential and extensible system. In this talk, I make the case for why Pipeline Pilot is my top choice programming environment.
